• Located 45 minutes from the center of Charlotte
• Lincoln Country's only acute care facility
• All specialities available for back up except Cardiothoracic Surgery, Otolaryngology and Neurosurgy
• Replacement hospital opening summer 2010 and will be easily accessible from Highway 150 and Buffalo Shoals Rd
• 10 ICU/CCU beds, 4 PCU beds 30 additional Telemetry beds

 

 

Emergency Department

• 32,000 annual patient visits of broad patient pathology and moderate acuity; approximately 9.9% of patients are admitted.
• Efficient layout with 15 treatment beds. Will expand to 20 in the new hospital plus 2 trauma rooms
• Radiology available 24 hours per day and located adjacent to the ED.
• Ultrasound, CT Scan, and VQ scans available 24 hours per day.
• All studies are reviewed on the Stentor PACS system with a viewing station available at the physician desk
• Emergency Bedside Ultrasound anticipated soon
• Transfers are 40 minutes by ground or 15 by air to Carolina Medical Center

• 8 and 9 hour shifts provide 34 hours of physician coverage
