• CMC -Pineville is located in south Charlotte at the intersection of Highway 51 and Park Road
• 109-bed full-service hospital provides comprehensive services and various medical specialties from an array of outstanding, highly trained physicians
• Responsive back-up represents most major specialties except Cardiothoracic Surgery and Neurosurgery
• Hospital is currently undergoing a $300 million construction project that will add 450,000 sq ft of new or renovated space as well as 97 additional beds
• 5 ICU beds, 20 telemetry beds

 

Emergency Department

 

• Approximately 11.4 % of patients are admitted.
• 21-bed department. The new ED slated for completion in 2009 will increase capacity by 50%
• Cerner First Net patient tracking system includes Laboratory integration
• Radiology is location adjacent to the ED. All studies are reviewed on the Stentor PACS system with a viewing station available at the physicians desk
• Ultrasounds, CT Scan, VQ Scan are available 24 hours per day
• Transfers are 15 by ground or 8 minutes by air to Carolinas Medical Center
