EMP begins service at Iredell Memorial Hospital

Emergency Medicine Physicians (EMP) began Emergency Department services on January 1st, 2010 for Iredell Memorial Hospital, located in Statesville, North Carolina. Iredell Memorial was previously staffed and managed by Piedmont Emergency Medicine Associates (PEMA) a group that recently merged with EMP.
The hospital houses 185 inpatient beds, 29 ED beds, 8 ICU beds, 8 CCU beds, and 32 telemetry unit beds. Iredell memorial was a 2007 recipient of the PRC 4-Star Emergency Department National Excellence in Healthcare Award. The emergency physicians at Iredell Memorial Hospital treat over 48,000 patients annually.
