The fact that as adults we forget how easy it is for a 5 year old to be nice to a complete stranger.

A cruise to anywhere with my wife and kids!
What person has been the biggest influence in your life and why?
My wife...she is my voice of reason.
Dr. Gregory Smith is the Chairman of Summa Health System-Southwest Region effective August 1, 2010. Dr. Smith started with EMP at Massillon Community Hospital on a part-time basis in August 2001 and began working full-time in July 2002. He also served as Interim Director at Massillon and was promoted to Director in July 2006. Dr. Smith became the Director of the CES at Barberton Citizens Hospital (now Summa Barberton Hospital) on July 1, 2007. He completed EMP's Scholars Program. In 2005, he became the president of the EMS Medical Control Board for Stark County. Currently, he is the EMS Director at Summa Barberton Hospital.
Dr. Smith received his Bachelor of Science Cum Laude in Chemistry/Premed from John Carroll University in University Heights, Ohio. He earned his medical degree from the Medical College of Ohio in Toledo, Ohio. Dr. Smith completed his Emergency Medicine Residency at Akron General Medical Center in Akron, Ohio. Dr. Smith is residency trained and board certified in Emergency Medicine. He is a Fellow of the American College of Emergency Physicians.
