Dr. Jesse DiRando serves as Vice President of the EMP Medical Group. He piloted and now oversees EMP's PhysicianFirst triage program and was honored as EMP Director of the Year in 2007. Prior to joining EMP, Dr. DiRando had been working at Southwest General Medical Center as a Staff Attending Emergency Medicine Physician. He has also worked at Lakewood Hospital where he was the Assistant Director of Emergency Services. He has also been a Staff Attending Emergency Medicine Physician at University Hospital in Cleveland, Ohio, Magruder Hospital in Port Clinton, Ohio and Van Wert Medical Center in Van Wert, Ohio.
Dr. DiRando received his medical degree from the Medical College of Ohio in Toledo, Ohio where he was a member of the Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Society. He completed his undergraduate studies at John Carroll University in Cleveland, Ohio where he graduated Magna Cum Laude with a Bachelor of Science in Chemistry with Discipline in Biochemistry. He completed his Emergency Medicine Residency at St. Vincent Medical Center/The Toledo Hospital in Toledo, Ohio.
Dr. DiRando is board certified in Emergency Medicine and is a Fellow in the American College of Emergency Physicians.
