Julia S. Evans MD, FACEP
My interest in emergency medicine developed during my first semester of medical school, and I am still fascinated by the scope and variety of my practice. I enjoy treating all patients unconditionally with compassion and the best medical care. I consider it an honor and a privilege to share in some of the most challenging times for my patients and their families.
Outside of medicine, I find inspiration in my own family. My husband is a scientific writer, a lecturer at Cornell University, and a self-proclaimed foodie like myself. I also enjoy studying "amateur paleontology" with my 4-year-old son and training in baby calisthenics with my 4-month-old daughter. When not in the Emergency Department, I can be found travelling with my family or creating edible experiments in the kitchen.
Julia Evans, MD earned a BA in Anthropology and a BS in Biology from the University of Kentucky before attending the University of Louisville School of Medicine. Following her training in emergency medicine at Beth Israel Medical Center in New York City, Dr. Evans joined EMP and completed the Scholars Program in 2009. She became a Fellow of the American College of Emergency Physicians in 2011.
